Just a quick post since it is past my bedtime when I have to work the next day. I really like how this card turned out. It is with the Petals and Paisley DSP and the feather from Nature’s Nest. This paper reminded me of a feather, although after looking at it longer it looks like a seed pod. I do love the colors in this paper.

I made a shaker card for this challenge using Nature’s Nest. The only thing I like to stamp better than flowers is shells. I just got this set thanks to Lee Conrey, and I love it. I wanted to do a shaker card and put some small welck shells I found at the beach in the card, unfortunately they were a little too big for this type of shaker so I defaulted with some dazzling diamonds. I watercolored the scallop shell on watercolor paper, and it came out nice. Not sure I will be sending this card to anyone, it was a little time-consuming and thick. I did make a second card with the same shell that will be sent to someone. I actually like my second card better and it shows off the shell. I used So Saffron, and Bermuda Bay cardstock. I have never used Bermuda Bay and I know it has been discontinued, but I also had some matching ribbon, and I liked the color combination. The bottom sand is done in soft suede with a retired set called Shore Thing. Sentiment is from You’re a Gem. I cut the circles with the Coluzzle tool- Stampin Up has them for sale in the clearance section. It is not a tool I use often but once you get the hang of it you can make a variety of circle sizes.
We hit 93 degrees here in Florida today. Not sure what happened to Spring. The weather should be back in the normal range in the next several days. Because I made cards this weekend, I just filed an extension on our tax return I probably will wait to finish it when we are in the dog days of summer and I do not want to go outside. Also I thought the federal government was going on furlough so I did not want to rush.
Thanks for letting me share.
